Cybersafety Outreach program
Latest news
In today's world, teachers need to know how to nurture a safe online environment for students.
Find out more by joining one of the free workshops being held throughout the state this year.
Run by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), the one-day workshops will outline the:
- technology profile and digital literacy of today's students
- importance of positive online behaviour, personal and peer safety
- school and teacher legal obligations to minimise and address risks.
To find out more and to register, see the Cybersmart website or call 03 9963 6882.
Outline
To inform and assist teachers, children and parents about online safety, ACMA offers Cybersafety Outreach - a program of cybersafety professional development and presentations in metropolitan and regional centres throughout Australia. These presentations and workshops provide valuable information about the risks confronting children online and offer appropriate tools and strategies to help make their experiences safe and positive.
