Your DETE user account, or User ID, and a secure password allow you to access the department's network and ICT services such as email, secure resources and the internet.
Your User ID is unique to you, and as with all other login and password details, you should keep it safe and secure to prevent your account being used by someone else.

How the department can help you
Immediately report any loss, theft or misuse of your DETE User ID or password by phoning the Service Centre on 1800 680 445.
Also contact the Service Centre if you think your DETE User ID or password is being misused.
The Service Centre can monitor its use and provide you with a new one if needed.
Important
Using another person's DETE User ID and password, misusing yours or allowing them to be used by others are serious breaches of the user agreement that you consent to whenever you log into the department's IT network.
