Working Digitally is a reflection of how schools use digital technology as a way of moving from traditional to transformational ways of learning.

Initiatives

  • Dream Factory

    State schools can unite and share ideas on making best use of technologies in education by connecting with the Dream Factory. The team coordinates a range of innovative projects that are running in schools and supports teachers with their own initiatives.

  • History of technology (Connecting the dots)

    This timeline identifies the instances in which technology has changed the world we live in and its impact on the shape of Queensland state school classrooms.

  • It's your identity - protect it

    Your departmental user account, or User ID, and a secure password allow you to access the department's network and ICT services such as email, secure resources and the internet.

  • OnePortal

    OnePortal is the department's own intranet solution and offers all staff seamless access to all internal information and resources.

  • OneSchool

    OneSchool is a school-driven initiative focused on the design and deployment of a web-based, comprehensive, flexible, sustainable and integrated information management system that provides a single-point-of-truth about teaching , learning, schools, the curriculum, performance and financials.

  • Regional technology managers

    Regional technology managers provide leadership, integrated governance and support in implementing and using ICT resources and eLearning strategies.

  • Smart Classrooms Planning Cycle

    The Smart Classrooms Planning Cycle provided schools with a mechanism for planning, measuring and reporting on their progress towards making ICT and eLearning integral to teaching and learning. From 2013 Schools should reflect on their ICT assets and ensure that these remain relevant in order for their students make the most of the digital technologies available to them as they engage with the Information and Communication Technology capability of the Australian Curriculum.

  • Smart Classrooms Student Film Fest

    This annual competition calls for students to develop short films that capture exactly how technology is impacting teaching and learning in today's classrooms.

  • The Learning Place

    The Learning Place provides staff and students with safe and secure access to an innovative range of digital tools, resources and spaces for teaching and learning, collaboration and networking.
