Emerging Leaders Program - Leading Self and Others

The department acknowledges the importance of school support and corporate staff in enabling improved outcomes for students, and is pleased to offer the Emerging Leaders Program - Leading Self and Others module for AO6-AO8 (and equivalent) school, regional and corporate employees.

This offering delivers on the department's commitment to empower staff, work together to deliver high-quality customer outcomes and ensure a skilled and capable workforce now and into the future.

The program will support AO6-AO8 current, recently-appointed or aspiring leaders to develop the knowledge and understanding needed to design, implement and evaluate personal leadership development strategies and build leadership capacity in others. Key learning outcomes include:

Program structure

Program components include:

  1. pre-workshop online learning
  2. face-to-face workshop (1 day)
  3. post-workshop online learning
  4. workplace project
  5. face-to-face workshop (1 day)

Program cost

The cost of each program is $400, including GST, per person. The workshop cost, in addition to other expenses associated with travel, accommodation and meals as required will be the responsibility of participants' work unit/region/school.

Program venue

The program will be delivered by the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) at the QUT Graduate School of Business, Gardens Point Campus, Brisbane.
