The Public Sector Management (PSM) program is a leadership and management course for public servants. Participants will develop an integrated view of policy, business acumen, public accountability and leadership in the context of the public sector. Recurrent themes of the program include:
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) has recently taken over the program management. This brings many exciting enhancements to the program including the use of QUT facilities, information sessions, cross-sectoral networking and access to academics and program alumni.
The program involves a mix of coursework study days and self-paced learning. The study days comprise an introduction day and 15 days of face-to-face learning in three and four day blocks.
Courses are planned over an 18-month period. Upon completion of the program participants receive a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management from Flinders University (South Australia).

Workforce Capability and Performance Unit offers program sponsorships to DETE public servants at middle management level (A05-A08 or equivalent, not including teachers and principals).

Information about the scholarship applications for 2013 will be available in October 2012.
It's a good idea to complete a Capability and Leadership Framework self-assessment
