These frequently asked questions may help guide your decision-making. If your question is not answered here, please contact the Program Manager.
Do I have to undertake the assessment task?
There is no requirement to complete the assessment task once you have completed the professional development activity. Many people undertake the programs simply for their own personal or professional growth.
However, if you are seeking academic credit, the assessment task must be completed and submitted to one of the universities for marking.
How do I register to take part?
The available programs are listed under Current Programs. Information regarding registration will be provided in this section. You can also look up the program calendar to see when the next program will be conducted. Online links or contacts are provided for registration.
Once you have registered for one of the programs, you will need to complete a registration form (new window) 171k
and send it to the Program Manager. This allows the university to be notified of your intention to submit your completed task with them.
How do I pay for taking part?
Payment for participation varies with each program. Generally there are two payments: one for the professional development program and a separate payment for marking the assessment task. As these programs develop capacities required by work units or schools it may be possible for your manager or principal to pay all or some of the costs on your behalf.
What if my assessment is marked by a different university to the one at which I wish to enrol?
This is not a problem. Regardless of which university marks your work, the voucher that will be provided is valid at all participating universities. You will, however, need to ensure the course you wish to study is on the register of approved courses.
I am already studying for my Masters degree. Am I still eligible to take part?
Provided your Masters course is on the list of approved courses, you will be able to use the voucher to gain credit. Check the register for each of the programs on the website.
