(3) register (new window) 402k

A. Generally there are two payments:
(1) enrolment in the professional development course (costs vary); and
(2) assessment marking fee of $320, currently paid by the Professional Development Unit from 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010, subject to review.
Q. How do I organise for my employer to make payment on my behalf so I can undertaken one of the courses?
A. Seek agreement from your employer to provide financial support. Refer to the Programs section of this web for information regarding the cost of each course. Further information is available from the course contacts.
Q. Do I have to undertake an assessment task?
A. There is no requirement to complete the assessment once you have completed the professional development course. Many people undertake the course simply for their own personal or professional growth. However, if you are seeking academic credit, the assessment must be completed and submitted for marking to one of the participating Higher Education Institutions.
Q. What if my assessment is marked by a different Higher Education Institution than the one at which I wish to enrol?
A. The academic credit voucher that will be provided is valid at all participating Higher Education Institutions, regardless of which institution marks your assessment. You will, however, need to ensure that the course you wish to study is on the Register of Approved courses.
Q. I am already studying for my Masters degree. Am I still eligible to take part?
A. Provided your Masters is on the list of approved courses, you will be able to use the voucher to gain academic credit. Refer to the Register of Approved courses.
