The department has developed the Restart Teaching online professional development program to support Queensland state school teachers to meet their renewal of registration requirements with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
Specifically, the program helps participant teachers to meet requirements for:
Restart Teaching is a QCT approved RTT program.
Restart Teaching is a 20-hour program, comprising five online modules.
The program will help returning teachers understand the current curriculum frameworks, teaching and learning practices, and legislative and legal responsibilities that are central to their work with students in contemporary school settings.
Participants will work with an experienced online facilitator to complete the program.
To receive a certificate of completion, all mandatory activities must be completed within the 13 week duration of the course.

On completion of the Restart Teaching program, participants will be issued with a certificate of completion which can be used to have the RTT condition removed from their registration. Alternatively, teachers may use the certificate as evidence of CPD.

The program cost is $440 (including GST). An email will be sent to successful applicants outlining payment options.
Queensland state school teachers who are interested in completing the Restart Teaching program are encouraged to express their interest in the next program via the registration form.
