The Staff Excellence Awards acknowledge the outstanding achievements of employees across the three portfolios of education, training and early childhood.
The annual Awards recognise the achievements of departmental officers who have demonstrated excellence in service delivery and commitment, and have achieved outstanding results that have had a significant impact on the lives of students, other community members and/or their work colleagues.
These highly regarded awards are open to all permanent or temporary departmental employees and are based on a peer nomination process. Up to 25 awards are awarded annually across the department.
The Awards acknowledge an individual staff member's service that is above and beyond the normal requirements of the position or sustained high level performance by an individual with a focus on outcomes and recognisable benefits to clients and the workplace.

All staff are encouraged to nominate their colleagues who they believe are deserving of such an award.
