Executive leaders

The Public Service Commission provides executive performance and development frameworks External Link to assist executives in managing their responsibilities, implementing the government s reform agenda and meeting departmental commitments.

The Executive Performance and Development Framework External Link is designed to drive performance and accountability in the Queensland Public Service. It covers all sector chief executive and SES equivalents, and supports the Chief Executive Performance Framework, which provides the foundations for strong service delivery aligned to the current government priorities. It replaces the Senior Executive Service (SES) Performance and Development Framework External Link, introduced in July 2012

The Capability and Leadership Framework (CLF) is designed to help ensure that the Queensland public service has the capability and leadership skills to meet future challenges. It is a tool to develop the capability and leadership of all employees, including senior officers, and provides a common language to support consistent whole-of-government capability and leadership development.

The CLF describes the behaviour expected of public service staff at every level from base grade to senior officer. This enables all staff to identify the key capabilities required of them in their current role, and helps them identify areas of growth for future roles.
