The Capability and Leadership Framework (CLF) is a tool to develop the capability and leadership of people at all levels.
The CLF describes the behaviour expected of public service staff at every level from base grade to the Chief Executive Officer. This will enable all staff to identify the core capabilities required of them in their current role, and help them identify areas of growth for future roles.
Individuals and teams within the Department can use the framework to identify professional development to support career planning, performance development, transitioning to a new role or moving across the public sector.
The CLF provides a common language to support consistent whole-of-government capability and leadership development, and is designed to help ensure that the QPS has the capability and leadership skills to meet future challenges.
