Descriptor

This standard covers the requirements for establishing learning environments that engage all students in purposeful learning experiences, encourage constructive interactions among teachers and students and enable students to control their own learning effectively.

Statements

9.1
Create safe learning environments that are based on mutual trust and respect and that provide social support for student achievement.
9.2
Provide learning environments in which students have responsibility for their own learning.
9.3
Implement student management strategies that enable students to learn to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
