Teaching and Learning

This is the core business of schools and teachers. The P-12 Curriculum Framework informs the planning of all programs within the teaching and learning environment.

The following need to be considered within the school to promote presence, participation, and achievement for all students:

Teaching is a challenging and ever-changing role. The Productive Pedagogies were developed to provide professional development for teachers in the area of teaching and learning. They represent a multi-dimensional model of classroom practice designed to assist teachers with catering to the learning needs of all students.

Resources

Students with disabilities in mainstream classrooms: A resource for teachers External Link
This project identifies ways to improve learning outcomes of students with disabilities enrolled in mainstream classes in the early, middle and senior phases of schooling. The focus is on the activities, interactions and materials that make classroom practice inclusive and that lead to improved outcomes for all students.
