The School Improvement and Accountability Framework (new window) 383k
provides a statewide approach for state schools and their communities to plan, monitor and review their performance along with the strategies and targets defined in Destination 2010 (new window) 337k
. This framework guides schools to achieve and sustain the vision and objectives of Queensland State Education-2010.
In this revision of the framework, the focus has been on recognising the need to build on success and confront, with tailored initiatives, those outputs recognised as being 'below benchmark'. To date, many schools and districts have addressed these imperatives and improved their performance in relation to the targets they have established. We need to continue this work in all schools to ensure we are building firm foundations to facilitate the continued improvement of student learning outcomes.
In summary, the School Improvement and Accountability Framework (new window) 383k
document now comprises three key components:
Also included are four Appendixes which provide assistance to schools with their planning, reviewing and financial management processes.
