Tomorrow's Schools - Providing for a Smarter Future

All Queensland students deserve access to a world-class education system which gives them the ability to reach their full potential.

The Tomorrow's Schools program (new window) 527k is a record $1 billion funding investment over five years for Queensland's education system, directed at modernisation and building new school facilities across the State.

Tomorrow's Schools includes:

• a five-year $850 million capital works program for State schools - the largest one-off investment in school building projects in Queensland's history
• an unprecedented degree of parent and local community involvement in deciding state primary and state secondary school facility requirements
• a $50 million School Community Development Fund for State school communities for small projects to improve a school's learning environment
• a $100 million one-off contribution to Queensland's non-State school sector to improve school facilities.

The Tomorrow's Schools program is a unique and innovative approach to the future schooling needs of Queensland communities. It will build on our education achievements, enhance school resources and facilities, and better integrate schooling into our communities.
