Under the ESOS Act 2000, the maximum period that a provider can be registered for is five years. At this point, providers must apply to the State Authority to become re-registered. The National Code requires the State Authority to conduct a review process to ensure a provider seeking a further period of registration continues to meet all the requirements for registration.
In the fifth year of registration, the Queensland State Authority will forward a reminder to providers that they must apply to become re-registered after the fifth year. Once applications are assessed and a site inspection has been conducted, the State Authority will make a recommendation to DEST to re-register the provider.
The fee to renew registration is $245.00.
