Curriculum and Practice

Early childhood education is characterised by specific curriculum practices. Individual schools interpret the curriculum documents to provide challenging learning programs for children.

Schools and teachers often showcase their innovative curriculum plans. The Curriculum Exchange website provides examples of some of the curriculum programs developed by teachers.

Subscribers to the Curriculum Exchange can view collections of resource materials and support documents relating to early childhood education from the Early Phase of Learning Gateway.

The Early Phase of Learning Professional Learning Community provides resources, ideas and reference materials aimed at supporting early years teachers and school administrators. The PLC also provides opportunities for teachers to submit great practical ideas and strategies. This site also links to contemporary journal articles which address early childhood issues and practice.
