Statement of intent

All schools involved in new school facility and capital works projects are required to abide by the relevant departmental and legislative requirements. This will ensure that when planning building, constructing, developing or otherwise augmenting departmental assets, the proposed works comply with the approved master plan, the Building Code of Australia and the relevant standards that apply to the project.

To assist schools in the planning, documenting and delivery of school managed facility and capital works projects within required departmental and legislative requirements, a Project Plan - School Managed Facility Project 1.4M has been included. This document provides a checklist, instructions, steps and links to enable requirements.

Responsibilities

• assists schools throughout planning and delivery of school managed facility projects
• ensures schools meet project plan deliverables and requirements.

• follows all relevant steps as detailed in the project plan when undertaking school managed facility projects.
