Describes responsibilities of users to prevent, detect, remove and report virus and malware attacks or malicious code in the Department's network environment in order to reduce the risk of computer malware and malicious code infection.

Identifies conditions for provision and acceptable usage of mobile services and data plans funded by the Department of Education and Training for administrative purposes. Applies to mobile devices and services owned by the Department of Education and Training and charged to the department's corporate accounts. Does not apply to mobile devices or services used for educational purposes.

Provides direction on accessing and using the department's ICT network, including, intranet, extranet, internet and network access and usage for students and staff and the publication of personal information to departmental websites.

Outlines requirements for Department of Education and Training in management and registration of domain names for the agency's Internet website resources.

Informs all departmental officers, including teachers, of their privacy responsibilities when using an ICT product or service not provided by the Department. Outlines steps business units, TAFEs or schools take when the provider collects or handles personal information as part of the service delivery.
