Developing a whole-school approach

Developing a whole-school approach is the most effective way to work on issues like gender. A whole-school approach usually combines whole-school planning with action research. The No Fear kit (1995:95-98) summarises the whole-school approach as follows:

Whole-school approaches seek to engage all key learning areas, all year levels and the wider community. They include many aspects of school life, such as curriculum, culture, teaching practices, policies and procedures.
