Government reports

In December 2001, the Minister for Education, Anna Bligh MP, announced the creation of an Education Caucus Committee working group to develop a set of recommendations to improve educational outcomes for children and young people in care. CREATE Foundation Report Card on Education

The CREATE Foundation seeks to improve the life opportunities of Australian children and young people in care. Since 2001, the CREATE Foundation has reported annually on the progress of Australian states and territories in meeting the educational needs of children and young people in care.

The CREATE Foundation’s 2003 Report Card on Education outlines progress within five areas requiring immediate action and reports on the views of children and young people about their education.

Partnership Agreement: Educating Children and Young People in the Care of the State
