Facilitator considerations

Facilitators and other educators should share a commitment to:

• quality curriculum programs for all students;
• improved learning outcomes for all students;
• effective teaching;
• professionalism.

In using these materials, the facilitator is encouraged to consider:

• the principles of effective learning and teaching;
• the need to develop consistent understandings and terminology;
• the various learning styles of participants;
• the change process and ongoing support that may be required;
• the experience of their teacher audience in terms of the year level they are teaching and their areas of expertise;
• the number of participants;
• opportunities to cluster with local schools and therefore share the workload.
