Facilitator considerations
Facilitators and other educators should share a commitment to:
- quality curriculum programs for all students;
- improved learning outcomes for all students;
- effective teaching;
- professionalism.
In using these materials, the facilitator is encouraged to consider:
- the principles of effective learning and teaching;
- the need to develop consistent understandings and terminology;
- the various learning styles of participants;
- the change process and ongoing support that may be required;
- the experience of their teacher audience in terms of the year level they are teaching and their areas of expertise;
- the number of participants;
- opportunities to cluster with local schools and therefore share the workload.
