Purpose

The purpose of this session is to familiarise participants with the origin, components and materials of the Year 2 Diagnostic Net.

Outcomes

Participants will:

• be aware of the origins of the Year 2 Diagnostic Net;
• understand the components of the Year 2 Diagnostic Net;
• understand the roles and responsibilities of school personnel involved in implementing the Year 2 Diagnostic Net;
• be familiar with the Year 2 Diagnostic Net materials.

• Discuss components and implementation of the Net at year-level meetings.
• Organise discussions with key teachers, class teachers and administrators from other schools.
• Keep a journal of observations, questions, reflections and new strategies trialled.
