The Better Behaviour, Better Learning online course provides employees of the department, including teachers, teacher aides, administrators and support staff, with flexible access to quality online professional development. The course covers introductory concepts associated with behaviour support and management in a school context. It also offers learners the opportunity to engage in structured online learning experiences that focus on both process and content in the topical field of behaviour in school.
There are six modules in the course encompassing both theory and practical applications of behaviour management.
There are two strands available in the online course. It can be counted as one subject for accreditation towards a postgraduate qualification, or it may be completed for personal professional development. The credit remains current for five years. The assessment requirements differ depending on the strand undertaken, with the postgraduate strand demanding a more intensive time and assessment commitment.
