Guidance Officers - Intensive Behaviour Support
The role of Guidance Officer (Intensive Behaviour Support) is to provide services to students requiring intensive behaviour support across the region according to the requirements of the Regional Executive Director. Responsibilities include:
- directly assessing and addressing the educational, personal, vocational and institutional needs of students (P-12) requiring intensive behaviour support.
- supporting and developing the capacity of guidance officers in providing services to students needing intensive behaviour support.
- preparing and implementing professional and personal skills development programs and inservicing activities as necessary.
- providing advice on issues related to the development of expected behaviour and implementing processes for responding to minor infringements of expected behaviour and/or serious misdemeanours
