On Friday 16 March 2012 schools throughout Australia will join together to celebrate the annual National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence. The focus of the 2012 day will be on parents and families taking a stand together and recognising the important role everyone plays.
A range of promotional materials will be available to download from Bullying. No Way! in December 2011 so everyone can spread the message and get involved.
Take a Stand Together website
remains available, as an online activity for students and school communities to participate in and will be redeveloped as part of the 2012 activities.
To inspire others to make a difference and prepare for the 2012 National Day of Action, schools are being encouraged to share their stories about National Day 2011 activities including how they promoted positive bystander behaviour.
Selected contributions will be posted on the Bullying. No way! website, featured in the Bullying. No way! e-bulletin or profiled in local or national media.
Schools just need to complete the Share Your Story feedback form available on the Bullying. No way! website
and email to webkeeper@bullyingnoway.com.au.
