Professional development and training

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) offers Cybersmart Outreach External Link - a program of cybersafety professional development and presentations in metropolitan and regional centres throughout Australia. These free presentations and workshops provide valuable information about the risks confronting children online and offer appropriate tools and strategies to help make their experiences safe and positive.

Connect.ed is a free online training resource for primary and secondary teachers and covers: cyberbullying, sexting, excessive internet use, mobile use, e-security, managing your digital reputation and digital profiling. It also advises teachers on what young people of all ages are doing online. Visit ACMA's Cybersmart Outreach website External Link or to view the Connect.ed promotional video External Link.

How Cybersmart are you? External Link  video is designed to help parents navigate through the online world of their teenagers and provides strategies on how to protect their children from potential online risks. The video provides facts, figures, and helpful advice.
