A Youth Engagement Strategy (YES) was developed with grant funding from the Department of Housing, as an early intervention and chronic absence prevention initiative in four state high schools and three state primary schools in the Logan-Albert Beaudesert District of Education Queensland. This summary report presents the findings of the project.
Safe, Supportive & Disciplined School Environment Policy
This procedure aligns with the expectations for all Education Queensland personnel under and legislative obligations to maintain good order and management of the school.
Individual plans are supportive documents developed for students needing additional support beyond the Responsible Behaviour Plan for Students.

The issue of absenteeism is complex and covers a range of behaviours, including chronic absenteeism, school refusal and truancy. It is important for schools to investigate the patterns and underlying causes of non-attendance so that appropriate strategies that address the specific type of absenteeism can be implemented.
These guidelines include a five step model for schools to address absenteeism:
The Safe and Supportive School Environments: finding workable solutions for countering bullying, harassment and violence in schools (SSSC) website, Bullying. No Way! is a collaborative project involving Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments, and Independent and Catholic education authorities. The project is managed by Education Queensland and collaboratively funded by all Government education authorities according to the MCEETYA formula.
Bullying. No Way! is created by Australia's educational communities as well as students, staff, parents, agencies, education officers and community members from school community member is safe, supported, respected, valued - and free from bullying, violence, harassment and discrimination.
National Safe Schools Framework (NSSF)
The National Safe Schools Framework (NSSF) is a collaborative effort by the Commonwealth, State and Territory government and non-government school authorities, and other key stakeholders to achieve a shared vision of physical and emotional safety and wellbeing for all students in all Australian schools.

Education Queensland's Management of Young Children Program (MYCP) provides an early and proactive intervention program for parents which promotes skills building and relationship development.
