Right to Appeal

Students are able to make a submission to appeal (new window) 73k Microsoft® Word document against 6-20 day suspensions, recommendations to exclude and cancellations of enrolment, or to request a review of a behaviour improvement condition (new window) 83k Microsoft® Word document.

Submissions appealing against 6-20 day suspensions and recommendations to exclude are made to the principal's supervisor, submissions appealing exclusion decisions (new window) 67k Microsoft® Word document by the principal's supervisor are made to the Director-General. There are no rights of appeal under the Education (General Provisions) Act for students suspended for one to five school days.
