The Centrelink
website provides information about payments, services and programs. From the home page, relevant information can be accessed by clicking on 'Individuals ' and then going to targeted areas such as 'Parent or Guardian ', 'Studying or Training ' and 'Crisis or Special Help '. Social workers and Customer Service Officers are able to provide information on local and community agencies that also can assist.
The Family Assistance Office
administers the Child Care Benefit and Family Tax Benefit payments. It has been set up in Centrelink and Medicare Offices to deliver payments and services for families. Payments include: Family Tax Benefit, Child Care Benefit, Maternity Allowance and Maternity Immunisation Allowance.
The Child Support Agency
is responsible for the administration, assessment, and collection of child support payments. It can collect child support payable under court orders or registered agreements.
