Health services

Proactive school programs can have a positive impact on health and welfare outcomes for pregnant and parenting young people and their children. The School Based Youth Health Nurse can refer pregnant and/or parenting young people, to appropriate support and assist their access to local health services.

Queensland Health's 13 HEALTH External Link (Telephone: 13 432584) also provides information on a range of children's health issues, parenting advice and links to other services, including children's health services and Newborn and Family Drop-in Services.
