Adjustment Information Management System (AIMS)

The Adjustment Information Management System (AIMS) replaces the previous SCOLR database system as the online database used to collect information on students with disabilities enrolled in state schools.

The AIMS database system supports the Education Adjustment Program (EAP) introduced in 2005. It collects information on students' school of enrolment (registration), verified impairments, special programs and services accessed, and the adjustments schools for these students to access curriculum and participate in school life. Students with the following disabilities: autistic spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, intellectual impairment, physical impairment, speech-language impairment and vision impairment or a combination of these, are registered in the system.

On-line access to this information assists schools in responding to the educational needs of students with disabilities by providing immediate access to relevant information when a student transfers from one school to another.

Analysis of this information at district, regional and state-wide levels also enables the planning and coordination of programs and services to respond to the identified student population. Access to this information is restricted to personnel in Queensland schools who are involved with the student's educational program.
