Supports for Education Queensland speech-language pathologists
There are many avenues of professional support for EQ speech-language pathologists. One of the most important avenues is the Regional Senior Speech-Language Pathologist.
Disability Services Support Unit (DSSU) also provides support through the employment of speech-language therapy advisers. To contact these advisers, please phone DSSU on (07) 3240 9333 or email them at DSSU.

- EQ Speech-Language Pathologists' Professional Community
This online professional community supports speech-language pathologists and regional senior speech-language pathologists in Education Queensland. It contains profession-specific information related EQ speech-language therapy services in schools and is a forum for sharing information, ideas and resources.
- Talkabout
Talkabout is a professional development journal produced twice a year by speech-language pathologists throughout Education Queensland. Each issue focuses on a particular theme related to supporting students with special needs in communication. Talkabout is available in electronic form via the Professional Development section of the EQ Speech-Language Pathologists' Professional Community.
- Therapy Blackboard Community
A Therapy Blackboard community on the Learning Place is available for Education Queensland occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech-language pathologists. This is a password protected secure site that enables sharing of practice information. Contact your regional office for information on how to join this community.
- Speech-language patologists may be able to borrow specialised equipment including Augmentative and Alternative Communication items for use with students with disability through a regional loans service. Contact your regional office for more information.
