Supports for Education Queensland speech-language pathologists
There are many avenues of professional support for EQ speech-language pathologists. One of the most important avenues is the Regional Senior Speech-Language Pathologist.

- EQ Speech-Language Pathologists' Professional Community
This online professional community supports speech-language pathologists and regional senior speech-language pathologists in Education Queensland. It contains profession-specific information related EQ speech-language therapy services in schools and is a forum for sharing information, ideas and resources.
- Disability Services Support Unit Loans Service
DSSU administers a state-wide loans facility. This facility comprises both short-term and long-term loan collections of specialised resources and equipment for use with students with disabilities. A broad range of equipment and resources are available including assessments, programming resources, positioning and mobility aids, assistive technologies, and adaptive equipment for activities of daily living. The online Loans Catalogue can be found in the 'DSSU Loans Service' section of the DSSU Professional Community.
- Talkabout
Talkabout is a professional development journal produced twice a year by speech-language pathologists throughout Education Queensland, in conjunction with Disability Services Support Unit. Each issue focuses on a particular theme related to supporting students with special needs in communication. Talkabout is available in electronic form via the Professional Development section of the EQ Speech-Language Pathologists' Professional Community.
- Therapy Blackboard Community
A Therapy Blackboard community on the Learning Place is available for Education Queensland occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech-language pathologists. This is a password protected secure site that enables sharing of practice information. Contact one of the speech-language therapy advisers at Disability Services Support Unit for information on how to join this community.
- Library Services, Department of Education and Training
Library Services, Department of Education and Training holds extensive collections of educational resources in a range of media to support the preschool to year 12 education community across the state. Specialist libraries include Curriculum Collection, Professional Collection, Periodical Centre for Schools, Video Library, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Learning and Engagement Centre Libraries. From this site you can access online catalogues, search databases and download full-text versions of articles where available.
