Child Safety and Wellbeing

The Child Safety and Wellbeing area of Student Services oversees a wide range of programs and services, including:

The Child Safety and Wellbeing area also oversees Departmental involvement in early intervention and prevention services for children and young people at risk of harm, neglect or abuse, and programs that support the participation, achievement and wellbeing of students who are in out-of-home care (ie, foster, kinship, residential care).

Student Services also provides many services to promote a supportive school environment. This includes supporting the provision of comprehensive guidance and counselling services to students and their families in all primary, secondary and special schools.
