Principles and objectives

State Schools of Tomorrow is committed to achieving the Department's long-term educational vision of choice and excellence in state education, local collaboration and sustainability.

It concentrates on groups of schools with shared enrolment boundaries that are in greatest need of major renewal, a new educational vision for the future and with the potential to boost the greatest number of student learning outcomes.

Schools taking part in State Schools of Tomorrow projects are selected through a comprehensive application process. It requires a group of neighbouring schools to demonstrate their high-level ability to address three guiding principles:

State Schools of Tomorrow takes place in stages, with Round 1 projects already under way. Schools will be notified through their Education Queensland Regional Office when applications open for participation in Round 2 projects.
