State Schools of Tomorrow

One of the most important influences on children's education is the quality of the schools in which they learn.

The $850 million landmark State Schools of Tomorrow initiative is the major component of the $1 billion Tomorrow's Schools package.

State Schools of Tomorrow gives us an unprecedented opportunity to plan the future of education and undertake major renewal and modernisation of state schools.

For the first time in Queensland history, local communities have the opportunity to help create a long-term educational vision for their state schools.

This high level of community involvement will ensure that the location and provision of modern high-quality schools matches the educational needs and aspirations of families in the 21st century.

The initiative concentrates on groups of schools with shared enrolment boundaries that are in greatest need of major renewal, a new educational vision for the future, and with the potential to boost the greatest number of student learning outcomes.

State Schools of Tomorrow is committed to achieving the Department's long-term educational vision of choice and excellence in state education, local collaboration, and sustainability.
