Editing webpage (article) content

Editing content focuses on managing general webpage (called 'articles') information. This includes content editing (including embedding images) and page organisation, organising media such as documents and images, and linking to documents directly.

Updating webpage Article from the website Members Area

Publish role must first be 'elevated' to either:
- Editor - publisher - manager in Joomla 'User Manager'
- Or an assigned Administrator in MIS portal
Login to the Members Area and navigate to desired page
Click Edit icon to open page in Edit mode - add new Content - Update page Title
Use the Save, Update and Close buttons to action changes

Use the Toolbar to format and layout content

With the webpage article open in edit view....
Create an Ordered list of items
Set the red-line for the Read more... function
Upload and embed images in your webpage
Upload and link to documents in Media Manager

Disabling (removing) unwanted menu linked pages

Navigate the Menu and identify broken/unnecessary pages
Log into the Admin panel and open Menu > Main Menu
Find and disable (un-publish) unwanted menu links
Don't open and disable pages in Article manager
The Menu link remains will now return and 404 error

Upload to Media Manager and link to from a webpage article
Link to single Newsletter from the Quick-links menu

Use Media Manager to organise documents and images

Creating folders for organisation
Uploading content (documents or images)
Deleting files and folders

Manage 'School Annual Reports' (and other official reports)

Upload official documents to /school-reports/ in school web-space
Create link to External /school-reports/ document from Quick-links menu
Applies to SAR, SDA and other official reports

Create new 'uncategorised' page and link to Menu

Create new webpage article in Article manager
Add new Title, Content and Meta-data to article
Create new Menu-link to article in Menu > Main-menu
Organise as new article link as sub-menu item and 'registered'
