Joomla 1.5 is now available to all state schools.
"Joomla" - Swahili (and Urdu) word meaning "all together" or "as a whole" (Ref: Wikipedia)
This system is a version of the popular open-source CMS Joomla (usually shown as "Joomla!"). It comes pre-configured for school use and includes a wide range of modules and components (listed below) for publishing information and images. The appearance of a site is highly customisable based on a system of templates.
The initial customisation of these templates for individual schools can be difficult for a user with no html experience, but after this step, it is straightforward for a user (with no programming knowledge) to maintain an interesting and up-to-date site. A user guide has been prepared to assist in getting started.
EQ standard Joomla! template options
A number of standard templates are supplied with a new installation of the Joomla CMS. Choose one as your initial "default" - this can be changed at any time.
