Adding events to the Calendar

Objective: Adding new events to your Calendar.

Note: only the Administrator role can add events to the Calendar.

  1. Log into the website Members Area

    1. Click the Members Area button on the Main Menu.
    2. Login using your school MIS ID to access registered content.

  2. Add an event to the Calendar

    1. Click on the Calendar quick view pad.

      Click on calender view pad to open calendar

    2. Click on Add an event at the bottom of the Calendar.

      Click on "add an event" to open the new event edit panel

    3. Under the Common tab.

      • Enter "School Sports Carnival" in the Subject field.
      • Leave "Default" in the Categories dropdown box.

      • Change Event Colour to bright yellow.

        • These also can be set on a Category basis to show on the calendar.
        • Especially good for the Monthly View or Yearly View.

      • Enter "This year's sports carnival will feature these fixtures..." into the Activity pane.

      • Enter a "Location" (address) if required.
      • Enter a "Contact" (phone # or email address) if required.
      • Enter any extra information required in the "Extra Info" box.

      Click on "Common" to create event title and content

    4. Under the Calendar tab

      • Enter required time settings whole day or 12 hr event, etc.
      • Fill in the "Start date" and "End date" times.
      • Select the type of repeat this event will occur in the calendar.

      Click on "Calender" tab to update calendar times and dates

    5. Click on the top-right Save button to create this event.

  3. Test in different views

    • Daily View

      Calendar daily view

    • Weekly View

      Calendar weekly view

    • Monthly View

      Calendar monthly view
