Objectives:
Use the Toolbar's basic features such as "Ordered list"
Set the "Read more..." red-line to create a "blog" style entry
Uploading images and embed these in the content pane
Upload documents and link to these in the content pane
Once logged in to the Members Area and the page is open to Edit
In the Content pane - click the area after the content first paragraph
Click the Read more... link/button ant the bottom of the content pane
This creates a red-line on the page after the first paragraph
Content entered after this line will be hidden behind a Read more... button on the page.
When clicked the page Title, content above and below the red-line are merged together to display all together.
This is done so that when displaying pages on a Section or Category page the Titles and initial comments can be organised and uncluttered across the the page or when listed in columns.

Format using the Toolbar
Highlight the list of text and use the ordered list button.

Insert an image in the page with the insert/edit image button.

Upload and embed an image
A "pop-up" will open the webserver file/image location.
From here you can use the browse button to browse to you local computer and upload images.
Create folders in which to store related content.
Select an image and click on insert to embed the picture.

Upload and link to a document
Highlight the explanatory text you wish to use to link to the document.

Click the insert/edit link button (above).
Browser to your.pdf document in Media Manager
MS Word documents should never be used because the school community may not have MS Word and thus can't read the document
If nessesary upload your new document via the Browse and Upload to Media Manager feature
Select your document and click the Insert button (or double click the file) in the Browse window
Save the article
Your newly updated web page

Extra exercise - Re-open the page and experiment with:
The Page break feature under the Read more... button
Change the Order list numbers to Un-ordered list bullets
Click Save to view the changes
