Adding a new 'uncategorised' webpage article

Create and publish 'uncategorised' article (was called 'static')

Create menu item to link to this 'uncategorised' article
-
Edit an 'uncategorised' article (web-page)
-
Display or hide authorâ€'s name, date created, pdf icon
Add new link on 'Main menu' to a 'Uncategorised' page (Article manager)

Login to the Admin panel - click through Home >> Static Content Manager

Click - New (to create a new article page link on Main-menu)
-
Enter 'Title' of your choice e.g. ' School Camps'

Enter 'Title Alias' as ' Camps'
-
Copy these words or something similar into the text field: (or enter your own content)
Add/ upload an Image to the page...
Toolbar area....

Top right - Source VS WYSIWYG switch button
-
Bottom centre - text or image (left/centre/right/justify) control

Bottom right - Add/edit image (picture) button (landscape symbol)

Top right - text font control

1. Click the Insert/Edit Image icon (it looks like a mountain/ landscape symbol)

2. Click Browse Server in the pop-up window (find an image already uploaded to the server) and navigate on the server to a folder with an image - click this image to select.
3. Click Browse at the (bottom of the next window) to navigate to your computer to upload a new image to the server if necessary.
4. Once selected - add 'Alternative text' to describe the image (e.g. 'Image of activity for school camp') for visually impaired persons using a screen reader - click OK.

Add Meta-data to your page...
1. Click on the 'Meta Info' tag (to improve the ability for people to find your page in a search engine).
2. Enter a brief description and some keywords (as below)

Create the menu link to your page (from within the page creation location)...

Click on 'Link to Menu' tab (below) - select 'Main Menu' (or another menu of your choice...)

Enter 'Menu Item Name' as e.g. 'Static content' (this will become the new link name...)

Click on Link to Menu under 'Menu Item Name' to generate the new link

Select Save (only when finished working on the page)

Optional:Change the position of the Menu Item (Menu Manager)

From the file menu - go to Menu >> Main Menu

Scroll down to bottom of page (and click Next if pages continue...)

Find your new page/s and change their order in the list...
- Use the blue arrows to move the link higher or lower
- Change the number in the order list and click the floppy disk symbol (next to "Order") to save (and reorder) change

Optional: Make the link a sub-menu (Menu Manager)
1. Click on 'Static content' to open ready for editing (to join it to Extra functions main menu item like its other sub-menu items...)

2. Select 'Parent Item', scroll down to 'Extra Functions' and select - click Save

Optional: Edit your content

Go to Content >> Static Content Manager
-
Click on red page link of choice to open the document ready for editing
-
Add / remove content, or click on add / edit picture icon, to replace picture - click Save
