Access control of files in the MIS web-space
Objective:
- Set access control on folder in the school web-space
- FTP connect to the school web-space (website)
Open the MIS portal (MIS administrator only)
- Using a web browser open
http://mis.eq.edu.au/
- Log in with your administrator account
Create folder - set permission to restrict access
- Click on the "Manage my school (school name)" link
- Click on the [www] link to open the web-space (root directory of your school website)
- Create a folder to have access restricted (e.g. /documents)
- Click the new /documents folder to open to this view
- Under the "Search for user(s) or group" - Click "List" or "Group" radio button
- This will display the AD (Active Directory) groups populated with your school "security groups"
- Scroll down to the group desired (e.g. "TeachingStaff") - click to select
FTP into your school website
