Embedded module positions

Objectives:

• Learn about module positions or page publishing areas/locations.
• Understand that modules can be moved to display in different page locations.

Open your school website

• With a web browser open to http://yourschool.eq.edu.au/wcms/  

Each layout template is created with module positions or locations on the page that modules or plug-in elements can be published - view the jpstyle3 example template below.

• Current jpstyle3 template elements, assigned to the below bold module positions (working down the image displayed)

  • user3 - search box (module?)
  • header - nothing or empty
  • left - Main Menu and Quick Links (menus)
  • top - briaskISS (Image Slide Show)
  • right  Calender and Latest Events (modules)
  • banner - nothing or empty
  • user1 - Latest News and Popular (modules)

For example (image above), just change the left side Quick Links menu (circled) position to the right and the menu will move over and appear on the right column location.
