Create an Image Slide Show

The Image Slide Show module makes it easy to give your site a dynamic look by showing a constantly changing slideshow of images.

Objectives:  

For best results use an image editor program to optimise images by:

Create and upload images for the slide show

  1. Log into Joomla as an administrator.
  2. Open Media Manager.
  3. Open (or create then open) a folder called imageslideshow or imagerotator.
  4. Use the browse button to upload your optimised photos.

Configure ImageSlideShow module to display images

  1. Click Extensions > Module Manager and then select the ImageSlideShow link to edit its settings.
  2. Update the module with these settings:
    1. Update Title to Our School Pictures.
    2. Leave Show Title as no.
    3. Set Position to right (right column should be available in all templates)
    4. Change Menus: from None to All.
    5. Update Image Directory to the folder mentioned above e.g. images/imageslideshow.
    6. Remove Height setting.
    7. Update "Width..." to "180" pixels

  1. Click "Save" button (top-right).

Title - This is displayed above the module (if enabled)

Position - This controls where on your page this module will be displayed. EG: "right".

Image Folder Path - This tells the module where to find the images. This entry should be changed to the folder mentioned above EG: "images/imageslideshow"

Your new image slide show should now be displaying in the right page module location.
