Wrap image page - create link to "wrapped" page (step2)

Objectives:

Create link to "Wrapped" page - images, documents or movies.

Test live path on Internet

  1. Using a web-browser, navigate to folder path or web location to "wrap" inside Joomla page
  2. In this case: navigate to school website image folder
    • example: http://schoolname.eq.edu.au/swimcarnival/
  3. If path loads and displays correctly, copy path to use in Joomla when creating "wrap" link

Use page "wrap" feature in Joomla to display images:

  1. Log into the Joomla admin panel
  2. Open "Menu >> mainmenu" (or menu of your choice)
  3. Click "New" button & "Wrapper" link to create a "wrapper" link
    • Enter Title (new button name)
    • Select "Parent Item" location (menu area the new link will appear)
    • Paste the URL copied above into the "Wrapper URL" field
    • Click "Save" to create the new button
  4. Open Joomla and navigate to the location of the new page
  5. Click to open and check display of page

This process can be repeated for all/ any other multi media files including AVI, MPG, MOV files etc

Be sure to limit the HTML to no more than 550px wide or you may break the layout of the "wrapped" page.
