People with a disability

The Department is committed to equal employment and career development of people with a disability and to building supportive and inclusive workplaces where people with a disability can participate equally.

Like all employees, employees with a disability bring a range of skills, talents and abilities to the workplace.

Employees with a disability in our teaching workforce play a vital role in delivering the vision of Education Queensland and Training Queensland and engaging Queenslanders in lifelong learning.

Public sector employees with a disability play an important role in discipline areas such as strategic policy, student support, payroll and human resources, information technology, curriculum, school administration, corporate services and the day-to-day running of the Department and its relationship with the public.
