To assist in ensuring our workforce reflects the community that we serve, it is important for all staff to complete the strictly confidential, EEO Census form indicating identification with any of the following EEO groups:

The online Diversity Training Program has been designed to provide staff with an introduction to cultural awareness and to develop an understanding of EEO groups. This professional development opportunity has been aligned with the Professional Standards for Teachers and the Capability Leadership Framework.
The program consists of 5 courses. Each course is broken down into a series of contemporary and interactive modules as follows:

All courses are complimented by extensive resources for ongoing learning however, staff are encouraged to seek in-depth cultural awareness training opportunities.
Registration is free and open to all Department of Education, Training and Employment staff through the following locations:
Learning Place - To register for access staff should go to the Diversity Training Program on the Learning Place. If you experience difficulties registering please contact the Learning Place via email: learningplace@dete.qld.gov.au.
My.TAFE - To register for the Diversity Training Program you will need to visit the 'Staff Support Site' on my.TAFE, click on the 'Corporate Training' button, and then click on the 'Diversity Training' link. If you have any issues accessing My.TAFE please contact the Institute Administrator in your Institute.
