Sharing stories of both achievements and challenges will assist workforce diversity and equity principles to be incorporated into the Department's workplace practices, systems and processes.
Stories can be shared around:
- What diversity and employment equity mean to your work team
- How workforce diversity and equity principles can be integrated into team planning and reporting
- Achieving a work-life balance
- Flexible work arrangements - their availability and challenges to implementation
- Programs focusing on interpersonal behaviours to prevent and eliminate workplace bullying, harassment and violence
Stories can also focus on specific career development considerations for:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- People with a disability
- People from a non-English speaking background
- Women moving into management
