Purpose
To assist schools to provide for annual stock and requisites, equipment and materials for specialist support staff.

Eligibility
All State schools with specialist support staff are eligible.
Allocation of funds
Regions are provided with an annual budget to deliver resources to specialist support staff.
Regional allocations are calculated on an annual basis according to the following criteria:
- $2,860 per annum for each Education Program Officer, Nurse, Speech- Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and Student With Disability Teacher (including Advisory Visiting Teachers but excluding Special School Teachers)
- $2,080 per annum for each Primary Learning Support Teacher (Literacy and Numeracy) and Psychologist
- $1,040 per annum for each Guidance Officer and Senior Guidance Officer.
Regions then manage these funds as follows:
Metropolitan
Most funds are distributed to schools and locations hosting eligible specialist support staff based on the following standard rates:
- $1,400 per semester for an Education Program Officer, Nurse, Speech- Language Pathologist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Student With Disability Therapist Advisory Visiting Teacher
- $1,000 per semester for a Support Teacher (Literacy and Numeracy)
- $500 per semester for a Guidance Officer and Senior Guidance Officer.
Some funds are used by the region to deliver program outcomes.
Additional funding may also be provided to schools for the bulk purchase of resources to support specialist staff (e.g. standard testing materials for Guidance Officers).
South East Region
Funds are distributed to schools and locations hosting eligible specialist support staff, with some funds for the bulk purchase of restricted test materials.
Darling Downs South West Region
Funds are distributed to schools and locations hosting eligible specialist support staff.
North Coast Region
Funds are distributed to schools based on specialist staff allocations. Some funds are held by the region to manage program outcomes.
Central Queensland Region
Funds are distributed to schools according to the budget allocation (i.e. staffing numbers with an average weighting from the school grant index), within a fixed available budget.
Some funds are held by the region to manage program outcomes.
North Queensland Region
Funds are distributed to schools and locations hosting eligible specialist support staff based on a weighting per specialist staff within a fixed available budget.
Some funds are held by the region to manage program outcomes.
Far North Queensland Region
Funds are distributed to schools based on a weighting per specialist staff, adjusted by the school grant index, within a fixed available budget.
