Opportunity overview
DE International supports Queensland schools that wish to participate in the World Education Program's School Language Assistant Program (SLAP) by providing 50% of funding to schools, for up to 2 terms. The program involves the placement of volunteer language assistants into the classroom, with the only cost to the school being the provision of accommodation and meals for the duration of the program. There are flexible arrangement options including a volunteer host family, accommodation, stipend to help assist cover these expenses, and a variety of other options.
