Following the administration of a restricted psychoeducational test, a written report should be provided to the school, the parents, and where appropriate, the student. The report should include:

- student details
- date of administration of the restricted psychoeducational test
- referral information
- relevant background information, including data obtained through behavioural observation and other sources relevant to the referral and any previous restricted assessments (including speech-language pathologist assessments, etc.) with dates and results
- behavioural observations during restricted psychoeducational assessment administration
- specific restricted psychoeducational test information, including composite scores, 90% confidence interval range, percentile rank and descriptive classification
- interpretation of the results, with supporting information from the classroom teacher, other assessment data, behavioural observations and assessment administration observations
- brief summary of the report with key implications for education highlighted (if necessary)
- recommendations, including suggested strategies and educational adjustments for classroom/learning support
- the administering guidance officer's name, signature and date the written report was completed.
